My grandparents were here these past few weeks, and one of the things we did, was visit Winston Churchill's house, Chartwell. It's out in the lovely countryside of Kent. It was a nice warm sunny day when we went, which is always a bonus. The best part of the house was definitely the gardens. They were so giant! Dad and us girls went on a hike to find a bomb crater. The house itself wasn't my favorite, so I don't remember much about it. Then we went to a pub called the White Hart and had a delicious sunday roast. But the high part of the day was definitely when Dad gave me a sip of his bitters. It wasn't very good.
